About boku-makuhari

boku-makuhari is a theater unit formed by Yuji Iwasaki ("I") and Kanako Kobayashi, an actor living in Makuhari.

Active from 2001 to 2010, all of their works were written and directed by Yuji Iwasaki.

Performances were held at coffee shops in Asagaya as an attempt to "encapsulate the audience through theater."

boku-makuhari's style has been described as:

"Stimulating works that encourage introspection, where the viewer is swallowed up in a bottomless swamp and becomes a participant in the peeping (from Engeki ◎ Fixed Camera)."
